RE: Alfa Slide-out toppers

Update... having no luck hearing back from any of the manufacturers on my questions. In the meantime I have purchased a roll of Exernabond Roof and Leak repair tape to seal the seam in question. I had re-caulked it and that seemed to help however not completely. This tape had been recommended to me and perhaps one long piece running the length of the seam will help. Anyone use this product before?

RE: Alfa Slide-out toppers

Thanks George.. I did contact Camping World but got no reply. Perhaps I should stop in one of the stores? (the closest is 20 miles away however).

RE: Alfa Slide-out toppers

Thanks for the reply, Dianne. The slide, as the roof, has a rubber coating on it... and has a seam at the outermost part... goes -under- the metal T shaped bracket/edge trim. I have inspected and added sealant however still have dampness along the wall adj. to the bed mattress (not a good thing!) After inspection, the slide roof is totally flat which allows water to stay on it unless we tilt the rig 2 degrees back or forward... I was hoping a good topper would divert the rain? Obviously it would not keep it totally dry but at least keep water out until I can figure out a better fix.... You can kind of see how the slide is so far fwd that it comes right to the curve of the front of the rig in my signature picture. I have a close up of the corner if anyone thinks seeing that would help... Thanks again!

Alfa Slide-out toppers

I have a 2003 Alfa 32 RLIK 5th Wheel and have developed moisture issues when the BR slide is out. I would like to install a slide out cover or topper to help keep water off the slide however it is so close to the front of the rig I can't figure out how it would mount. I have emailed a few manufacturers to no avail and naturally Alfa can't help answer my questions..... anyone out there install a topper on one of these slides?? Any help appreciated! Bob
